Senreve is looking to hire an accounting generalist to support our Controller and external accounting firm to ensure that our finances are accurate, organized and providing timely visibility into our financial performance. He/she will support a range of accounting responsibilities, from Accounts Payables for inventory and services to supporting monthly close activities. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Accounting Manager with strong consumer goods, e-commerce, and/or fashion knowledge to gain substantive experience in full-cycle accounting. This role can be remote, but operates on West coast hours (i.e., 9AM to 530PM Pacific time). Preference will be given to candidates who have recent Netsuite experience in a direct-to-consumer/online company. Key
Responsibilities:
Support the monthly close process including finance data maintenance in Netsuite, Shopify and other online platforms including coordinating with our APAC teams Communicate regularly with external accounting firm to resolve open items related to payroll, inventory, sales transactions and payments Develop, document and ensure adherence to proper AP accounting methods and policies Researching and resolving any invoice discrepancies. Ensure all inventory invoices are accurate and paid within terms; requires collaboration with cross-functional departments to confirm proper three-way match in Netsuite Partner with Operations and Warehouses to ensure accurate inventory data and COGS transactions; coordinate cycle counts on a quarterly and annual basis Manage vendor relations and be the main point of contact for any escalated vendor issues Monitor and review AP Aging Report, outstanding workflows and invoices to proactively address or resolve any past due invoices Ad Hoc reporting and analytical support for supporting monthly budget reviews with departments Support Controller Provide customer service to internal business partners. Execute additional tasks as needed. Provide internal and external audit assistance as required. Manage the general ledger, month/quarterly end close and consolidation, and day-to-day accounting Maintain an effective internal control environment, ensuring accuracy of financial data for both internal and external reporting.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited university or college; Masters degree or CPA a plus Minimum 5 years of full-time professional experience in an accounting capacity including at least 1 position at a small-to-mid-sized company Working knowledge and experience with ERP/Accounting systems including Netsuite, SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics Strong Excel skills, and working knowledge of Microsoft and Google applications Highly organized with knowledge of project management tools such as Asana Solid understanding of online e-commerce platforms such as Shopify, Salesforce or Magento Strong written and verbal English communication skills; fluency in secondary languages a plus Ability to be on weekly calls with Asia Pacific (Hong Kong, Shanghai) SENREVE is a direct-to-consumer luxury handbag brand launched in November 2016.
